Morpho 2.1.0

COMPATIBILITY

Rhino 7 and Rhino 8 with Grasshopper.
macOS: Intel and Apple Silicon. Rhino 7 uses Rosetta on Apple Silicon.
Windows: 64-bit Intel or AMD processor; .NET Framework 4.8 for setup.
Use an operating system supported by your Rhino version. Install Rhino first.

AUTOMATIC INSTALLATION (RECOMMENDED)

1. Extract the downloaded ZIP. On Windows, use Extract All.
2. Open Morpho Setup.app on macOS or Morpho Setup.exe on Windows.
3. Select Install automatically, then click Install Morpho.
4. Save your work if Rhino asks. Setup continues after Rhino closes.
5. Open Rhino and Grasshopper. Look for the Morpho tab.

Setup detects Rhino 7 and 8 and installs Morpho for your user account.
Choose installation lets you select versions or locate Rhino manually.
Select Open Rhino after installation to reopen Rhino when setup finishes.
Existing Morpho files are backed up before replacement. View backup opens
that folder after installation. Project data stays in its existing folders.

These installers are unsigned. If macOS blocks setup, open System Settings >
Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway for Morpho Setup. On older macOS,
use System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General.
On Windows, if SmartScreen appears, choose More info > Run anyway when offered.
Only approve a download you trust. If your organization's security policy
blocks setup, contact its administrator.

MANUAL INSTALLATION

1. Close Rhino. On Windows, right-click the downloaded ZIP, choose Properties,
select Unblock if shown, then extract it using Extract All.
2. Open Manual installation and choose the folder for your Rhino version.
3. Open the matching package folder below. Create it if it does not exist.

macOS (Finder > Go > Go to Folder):
   Rhino 7: ~/Library/Application Support/McNeel/Rhinoceros/packages/7.0/
   Rhino 8: ~/Library/Application Support/McNeel/Rhinoceros/packages/8.0/

Windows (paste into File Explorer's address bar):
   Rhino 7: %APPDATA%\McNeel\Rhinoceros\packages\7.0\
   Rhino 8: %APPDATA%\McNeel\Rhinoceros\packages\8.0\

4. If a morpho folder exists, move it outside Rhino's plug-in folders as a
backup. Remove any older Morpho copies from Grasshopper's Libraries folder.
Keep your project folders and other plug-ins.
5. Copy the supplied morpho folder into the package folder. Copy the whole
folder, including manifest.txt and the 2.1.0 subfolder.
6. Repeat for the other Rhino version if needed. Start Rhino and Grasshopper.

FIRST PROJECT

1. Add Directory and set the output folder and project name.
2. Connect Directory to Gene Generator and Save to Population.
3. Connect input number sliders to Gene Generator Intervals.
4. Connect Genes to the design inputs, and Genes with Names to Data Aggregator
Inputs. Connect analysis values to Data Aggregator Outputs.
5. Connect Data Aggregator to Save to Population and enable saving.
6. Set the iteration limit, then set Gene Generator Initiate to True.

To select parents, connect filters to Fitness Filters. For several IDs, enter
one ID per Panel line and connect the Panel to Filter ID. Multiple Filter ID
outputs select the combined list of IDs. Other direct conditions use AND.
Filter Expression also accepts rules such as ID IN (46, 73) AND Weight < 40000.
Use exact parameter names. If no solution matches, generation is random.

For images, add Image Capture, select a viewport from its right-click menu,
and connect Image to Data Aggregator. Save the Grasshopper definition.

To view results, connect Directory to Visualizer and set Show to True.
Keep the Visualizer window open while using the browser viewer.
solutions.db stores results; solutions.csv is regenerated when saving.
Manual CSV edits are replaced on the next save.

UNINSTALL

In Rhino, run PackageManager, select Morpho and choose Uninstall. Restart Rhino.
